8-Layer Honey Cake Recipe (Medovik)
This honey cake is so soft and fantastic. The honey baked into the cake layers pairs perfectly with the simple sour cream frosting.

Ingredients
Cake Layers Ingredients:
- 4 Tbsp honey (1/4 cup)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 large eggs beaten with a fork
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3 cups all-purpose flour I used unbleached, organic
Sour Cream Frosting Ingredients:
- 32 oz sour cream
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
For the topping:
- 1/2 lb strawberries optional
